Agnieszka RadwanskaAgnieszka Radwańska is a polish, professional top tennis player. She came from a family who loves to play tennis. She has a younger sister named Urszula, who is a tennis player also. Early on, she was introduced to this sport by her father and started to play at age 4. Radwańska considered Pete Sampras and Martina Hingis as her inspiration. She chose Tourism for college at University in Kraków.

She is currently known for playing wisely, making use of the court and also by making points. One of her prideful moments is when she won nine WTA singles titles. She ranked No. 4 worldwide as of April 16, 2012, which proved a very good year for her.

Way back in 2006,Radwańska experienced her first ever WTA Tournament at the Warsaw Open, which is Tier II J &S Cup before.

By the next year, she made it into becoming the first polish tennis player to claim a WTA singles title after she won the Nordea Nordic Light Open.

In 2008, she is again declared to be the first Polish to get to the top 10 on WTA. Having two WTA Awards is very fulfilling and it was really with Radwańska when she won the Most Impressive Newcomer in 2006 and Fan Favorite Singles Player in 2011. Plus the fact of having been achieved five Grand Slam quarterfinals is a massive experience.

Elena Dementieva upset her at the 2009 Medibank International Sydney quarterfinals. Also in the same year, Kateryna Bondarenko had beaten her on their first round in Australian Open. Unfortunately in Indian Wells, she was defeated by Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and also defeated by Venus Williams at The Sony Erickson Open. In Tokyo, she was able to make it to the semifinal where she suffer defeat by Sharapova however; she first achieved her first final of the season in China and was upset by Svetlana Kuznetsova. This performance placed her to rank as world No.10.

It was in 2010 that she accomplished her first ever Grand Slam at the 2010 French Open being the top 8 seed. Due to this event, she made it to a career-high rank of World’s No. 8.  Meanwhile, she slipped into World’s No. 11 after Li Na in the 2010 Wimbledon Championship upset her. She ended the season with a fracture on her foot.

2 years later, she was able to take part at the semis of the Apia International as well as in Qatar Total Open and in the Australian Open quarterfinals. Victoria Azarenka overpowered her on each of these tournaments. She acquired her first title of the 2012 season and ranked No.5 Worldwide by overwhelming Julia Gorges in the finals of Dubai Tennis Championship. She furthermore ranked No. 4 after she lost to Azarenka in the quarterfinals in Indian Wells. She progressed in the quarterfinals in Miami, overcoming Venus Williams and Marion Bartoli in the semifinals leading her to the championship matched with Sharapova. Radwańska won all the set and proclaimed to be the winner of this championship tournament.
